Rune Factory 5 has finally arrived! In this post, I will discuss the collector’s edition, the Earthmate Edition. These are my own photos, so please excuse the quality of some of them.
The box for the Earthmate Edition has a nice gleam on the front. It also feels a bit more sturdy than the one for Rune Factory 4 Special. I really like it.
The first part of the Earthmate Edition is the artbook. The best part about it is the character profiles, which include the best and worst gifts to give the characters. However, there is much more to see in the artbook, such as the concept art for many of the environments (which look so much better than they actually turned out in-game.)
The second part of the Earthmate Edition is the SteelBook, which I think is very beautiful. Inside it is the Seed Ranger Handbook, which acts as a bit of a guide. It also shows translations for the language Fuuka speaks.
The third part of the Earthmate Edition is the Melodies of Norad soundtrack, which includes music from throughout the series, composed by Tomoko Morita. I have yet to listen to it yet, but I do like the music found in this series.
Finally, the Earthmate Edition includes the in-game content of more costumes for the protagonists! They are the outfits of the bachelors and bachelorettes (plus Pico!) of Rune Factory 4. I changed into Dolce’s outfit right away and have been wearing it since then.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post and it helped you decide if you want this edition. I certainly recommend it if you like Rune Factory and have the money.
